Fine cigar maker Jose Alonso started LA CAROLINA during the 1840’s. This master roller knew he could make the best cigars in Cuba, and he did. The high quality and exceptional taste elevated the brand to become one of Cuba’s most demanded cigars. They became the cigars that aficionados in Cuba smoked. Now once again they are available to just a few cigar aficionados. Handmade in small batches with extraordinary attention to each and every detail, these cigars are crafted with exceptional hand-selected tobacco leaves from Tabacalera Esteli’s special harvest. Each leaf is comparable in looks and in taste as those that Jose Alonso hand rolled. Those who have the opportunity to smoke them will insist that they were made by Jose Alonso himself.

Los angeles, july 19, 2004 /prnewswire/ -- To say that smokers "love" the cupido brand, with its portrait of the love god cupid astride a red heart, is more than a pun. The nicaraguan-made boutique brand proved its standing as an elite blend once again by being ranked no.1 among medium-bodied cigars available on the U.S. Market by cigarcyclopedia.com. "This blend offers the deepest flavors of fruit with not a trace of bitterness or spice," noted editor-in-chief Rich Perelman. "It's an amazing achievement, especially in its original churchill size." Manufactured in Nicaragua at the Tabacalera Esteli, cupido beat out a host of high-profile brands including the arturo fuente hemingway series, avo classic, davidoff's special series, h. Upmann, romeo y julieta and others.
Subject :: Good taste, great cigar
Great smoker, buy two boxes, because you\'ll smoke them quick.
Subject :: I like it
I just smoked 1 that came in a sampler. I did not taste the fruity flavors described elsewhere, and it seemed to be more of a full bodied smoke than medium. However, it had a very good tobacco taste and flavor. The burn was good, and the draw excellent and yielded a lot of tasty smoke. The aroma was hearty and not unpleasant. It was spicy and somewhat nutty. I had smoked a montecristo afrique earlier, and the two tastes could not be more unlike each other. I found myself comparing the two and decided that i like the contrast.
i have a few more of the la carolinas and look forward to smoking them.
thanks to emilio for accomodating me. I salute cuban crafters for their superior customer service, and a special salute to kiki for his commitment to producing a fine product with such care and consistency.
Subject :: Newbe
Im hittin on my second one they have sat in the box for a couple days and this one is even tastyer then the first -- like i say im new to all this so im a rookie but i grabbed a box of these and a salazar sampler and i love them both each dif but tasty and i think the size and the boxed pressed is the way to go it just feels right --sands in new mex.
Subject :: It will become your favorite
I used think you had to pay at least $4-5 for a good cigar, much more for a \"great\" cigar. Then i found cuban crafters, don kiki, and most importantly, la carolina. La carolina corona canela is by far my favorite cigar, even compared to cigars costing 4-5 times as much.
i stock my humidor with lots of different cigars, but la carolina corona is the one my friends always choose, even those friends who have been smoking cigars for 10-20 years. In fact, i have to keep a personal stash hidden, just so they don\'t smoke them all.
i probably shouldn\'t have written this, because you will drive up the demand once you try this cigar, and the supply is limited...
Subject :: Simply the best
Having 5yrs. Of cigar smoking i finally hit pay dirt with this corona,my absolute favorite cigar,mind you i also fancy the j.r.salazar brand.there is nothing close to the lucious draw and flavour,well made and packaged,thanks rico1
