The master rollers have handmade each one to draw firmly and to burn evenly. The tobacco leaves are aged for over three years and specially cured through four fermentations. The Filler is a sun-grown Cuban Seed Habano tobacco from Tabacalera Esteli. The Binder is a wrapper quality Cuban Seed Habano 2000 leaf and the Wrapper is a flawless Ecuadorian grown Cuban Seed Habano leaf. Every cigar is made in the same old fashioned way that the Salazar Family made them in Cuba and only with the best tobacco available anywhere. The Torpedo cigars are 6¼” long and has a large ring gauge of 54.
Since 1810, when the Salazar family settled in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba, they have been growing some of the worlds best tobacco, and handcrafting fine Puros. At 12 noon every day, the 4 Salazar brothers would meet in the porch of elder brother Mario’s house. Mario would open his burlap bag which contained the finest tobacco leaves of the farm’s harvest. The cured leaves were perfect in appearance and taste.They were envied by all the farmers in Cuba’s prime tobacco growing region. The burlap bag would be passed around and each brother would roll their own Cubans. They would each roll enough for the day’s smoke. Each would have a different preferred size but the blend would always be the same for all four brothers. Mario’s sons, J.L. Salazar and his brothers, have carried on that tradition and special blend of tobacco leaves in these exquisite boutique cigars. The J.L. Salazar y Hermanos Cabinet Selection are each totally handmade by a master roller. They use the secret blend that the Salazar Brothers brought from Cuba and with only the finest Cuban Seed leaves. Excellent cigar. Wonderful draw, perfect ash. Chocolaty taste with very strong earthy overtones. Mild spice hints. Packs quite a punch. You will want to some this one to the nib. Very well made construction and an extremely pleasing presentation in the box. Brings back spanish colonial nostalgia. Aroma is pleasant. An a+.

This is one fine cigar..from the solid body,perfect draw,delightful aroma and rocking flavors, it all comes together to create one great smoking experience..there are no negatives here..have had about 20 of these, and they have all been consistent..my highest reccomendation.

The Salazars are by far one of the best smokes on the market today. Beautiful white ash, full bodied with tastes of a rich bold coffee. If i could recommend one cigar to try to those who love a full bodied smoke, and even to those who dont, i would not hesitate to say the salazar. Truly wonderful tasting and quality made.

Beautiful. well constructed, firmly pressed, excellent draw with a laser straight burn. a wonderful smoke, creamy and rich with absolutely no after taste. subtle hints of chocolate and rich coffee. full bodied, yet rich in flavor and smooth. a cigar to make love to, not be raped by. highly recommended.

Smoked one of these from a sampler i ordered...man...with some cognac...what a pair, pure pleasure..great taste. The next day at work i could still taste the chocolate, nutmeg and whatever else is associated with this smoke. Try one you will not be disappointed. I`m going to order another sampler, maybe a box. After a combination of usps & british post office ferrying my cc order around the
bermuda triangle for a month, i receceived my order & resussitated in my humidor for 10 days before for firing this bad boy up. tis truly amazing what a very fine cigar can do to your state of peace. I no longer want to hunt down those responsible for the extended delay in my order arriving. A wonderful smoke, cool, flavours i'm still getting to grips with, great burn, so darn hard to put down. Peace to the makers & cc for this moment of tranquility.

I'm not a one brand cigar guy. I like to try many different brands, shapes, sizes. This would be the one that makes me loyal. It's just awesome. I like the looks, taste, draw, flavor, box, etc... i would recommend this one to anyone.

I had a friend turn me on to this great one (cigar guy's are cool) and was impressed right away with the construction and the feel of it. Smoking it was no disapointment it matched in every way what i was invisioning it would taste like. Not wanting to be impressed by just one i purchased another from my local tabacoonist and it was identical to the first. Great draw, lots of white smoke and great aroma and taste. I am on my second box and it is now my new brand! Its stocked in my office and home humidors and i love it! Hats off to the Salazar brothers!! ted in philly

I love the fact that you can get a sampler of good cigars and find one or two that you find exquiste. That being the case for two that I love, La Carolina - fabulous, and the J.L. Salazar tremendous, to find these two is amazing. Rico1
